I feel that over the years, referring to someone as “inspirational” has become a cliché. We tend to use more and more grandiose words for less and less important things until they lose all sense of meaning. So when I say my mother is inspirational to me, please consider the original sense of the word inspire, to breathe in or fill with air or with creativity. As a self-taught computer programmer, she has always taught me to pursue my dreams and that there is genuinely nothing beyond my reach. When I talk to her about her advice for my future for even 10 minutes, I’m inspired in the truest sense of the word, and I’m not just saying that because I know she’s reading this (hi mama!).
This year, Mother’s Day will be on Sunday, May 8, and we have a round up of the best gifts online to show your appreciation to your mama. Sometimes, the best gift is a little quiet and relaxation away from the world. If your mom likes to snuggle up with a good book or her favorite show on Netflix, these are the gifts for her.
