In the last seven years, I can count on one hand how many times I’ve eaten from real ceramic or porcelain dinner plates, and half of those times have been at a fancy restaurant. With four kids under 7, I’d have to be buying new plates and bowls every week if I indulged in such niceties.
But there comes a point when you just can’t take one more macaroni-and-cheese dinner on pink plastic plates. When that day comes for you, dear parent, rest assured there is a host of other options out there.
Of course, we’ve all heard of Corelle, that glorious company that makes ‘break-resistant dinnerware’ which is also microwave and dishwasher-safe.
Why not change things up a bit and go more natural with these wooden and bamboo dinner sets? Sure they require hand-washing to last through the years, but your kids won’t be able to destroy them and they’re beautiful, to boot.
If you want real durability that can stand the test of time and wear, and can survive any tantrum, check out stainless steel dinnerware.
With the 4th of July just around the corner, don’t worry about having to buy plastic or paper plates for the kids (or the adults!) Check out this eco-friendly alternative:
With all these options, you’ll never again worry about the kids breaking your nice dinnerware, and you won’t have to resign yourself to eating off of Toy Story paper plates at your 4th of July barbeque.
